Unite in Action Award Nomination Form

Help Us Choose Our Next Unite in Action Award Recipients: (Who do you want to nominate…?)

Any employee within the organization (yes, that includes you!) can nominate someone for the Unite in Action Award. In fact, we need your help to make this award happen. Please nominate your colleagues and peers as you recognize them aligning with one or more of our values. An explanation of each value is below:

  • Stay Curious: We keep learning and discovering how to improve, which sometimes means changing the way we do things.
  • Build Relationships: We value the trust between our colleagues, clients, vendors and security personnel to strengthen camaraderie.
  • Take Ownership: We champion self-accountability and push boundaries to achieve shared success.
  • Be Principled: We show integrity in every decision and always do the right thing.

If you feel that a team member has gone above and beyond and displayed one or more of these values, make sure to let us know! The Unite in Action Awards will be announced monthly, but we always accept nominations through the Unite in Action Award Form.

Unite in Action Award Winners

The Unite in Action Awards will be presented to up to four employees each month. These individuals will be nominated by their peers or managers as someone who embodies our values.

Recipients receive the Unite in Action Award trophy and a branded gift!

Congratulations to our winners... drumroll please...

Mark Westman, Manager of Security Projects

Protos - Roanoke

Nominated by: Sean Cook

Reason: Mark Westman is a truly valuable asset to the Protos team. In his role as Manager of Security Projects, Mark serves as the primary developer and lead supporter for all Post Order work across our network. His contributions have been both extensive and impactful — he has directly built, formatted or supported the creation of over 100 Post Orders and personally visited more than 200 sites this year alone.

Beyond his core responsibilities, Mark has been instrumental in supporting multiple RFPs, providing technical insight, operational context and on-the-ground perspective that have strengthened our client partnerships and service delivery.

What sets Mark apart is his unmatched dedication and responsiveness. He consistently drops everything to address critical issues, working tirelessly to identify root causes, implement solutions and ensure complete resolution. His tenacity, professionalism and relentless commitment to excellence exemplify the very spirit of teamwork and action that this award represents.

Mark’s work ethic is beyond reproach, and his contributions continue to elevate the standards of Field Operations and Project Management across Protos. He is, without question, one of the hardest-working and most dependable individuals I have ever had the privilege to work alongside.

Callan Goodall, Dispatch Supervisor

Protos - Roanoke

Nominated by: Kerry Bradley

Reason: I am nominating Callan for the quarterly role in recognition of her consistent dedication and leadership.

Stay Curious: Callan actively seeks to improve how work orders are understood and completed. By training new intake staff every Saturday, she asks thoughtful questions, shares best practices and ensures they understand not just the how, but the why behind our processes.

Take Ownership: Callan voluntarily takes ownership of onboarding by committing her Saturdays to train one intake person at a time. She ensures each trainee is fully supported and confident in handling work orders, demonstrating accountability beyond her core responsibilities.

Build Relationships: Through one-on-one Saturday training, Callan builds strong, trusting relationships with new team members. Her approachable and patient teaching style helps new hires feel welcomed and supported from day one.

Be Principled: Callan leads by example, emphasizing accuracy, consistency and integrity in work order processing. She sets clear expectations and reinforces doing the right thing the right way, even when it requires extra time and effort.

Callan’s commitment to developing others and upholding our values makes her highly deserving of this quarterly recognition.

Hope Ingraham, Senior Service Agent

Protos - Roanoke

Nominated by: Patrick Fortuna

Reason: I would like to nominate my partner, Hope, for the Unite in Action Award for consistently demonstrating what it means to be principled. In every situation, especially during challenging and unique circumstances, Hope leads with integrity, accountability and professionalism. She always does the right thing, even when it’s difficult, and takes ownership of her actions without hesitation. Her positive attitude and ethical approach build trust with colleagues and vendors alike, making her a pleasure to work with. When Hope is involved, I am confident decisions are made thoughtfully and outcomes are achieved the right way.

Sandy Owens, Operations Compliance Coordinator

Protos - Houston

Nominated by: Rachel Richey

Reason: I'd like to nominate Sandy Owens for her exceptional diligence and commitment to compliance excellence. She consistently demonstrates principled decision-making, ownership of her work, and strong cross-department relationship building as she ensures every officer is fully cleared and all documentation steps are complete and accurate. Sandy’s attention to detail and collaborative approach strongly reflect our core values and directly support operational success - and she does it all with a smile!
