What Makes Protos Different

Brand Video Launch

To kick off our recent Town Hall meeting, we were proud to unveil a major milestone in telling the Protos story: our brand-new “What Makes Protos Different” video. Crafted to highlight the heart of who we are – our people, services and promise – this video brings our mission to life in a creative way.

Here’s How You Can Use It

We’ve already heard from many of you asking how to share the video. Whether you’re talking to a prospective client, onboarding a new hire or want to share the Protos story online, this video is a powerful tool to communicate what sets Protos apart.

Tell Us How You’re Using It

We’d love to hear how you’re incorporating the video into your outreach or storytelling. Tag Protos on LinkedIn when you post or email marketing@protossecurity.com with stories of how the video is making an impact.

Unite in Action Award Nomination Form

Help Us Choose Our Next Unite in Action Award Recipients: (Who do you want to nominate…?)

Any employee within the organization (yes, that includes you!) can nominate someone for the Unite in Action Award. In fact, we need your help to make this award happen. Please nominate your colleagues and peers as you recognize them aligning with one or more of our values. An explanation of each value is below:

  • Stay Curious: We keep learning and discovering how to improve, which sometimes means changing the way we do things.
  • Build Relationships: We value the trust between our colleagues, clients, vendors and security personnel to strengthen camaraderie.
  • Take Ownership: We champion self-accountability and push boundaries to achieve shared success.
  • Be Principled: We show integrity in every decision and always do the right thing.

If you feel that a team member has gone above and beyond and displayed one or more of these values, make sure to let us know! The Unite in Action Awards will be announced monthly, but we always accept nominations through the Unite in Action Award Form.

Unite in Action Award Winners

The Unite in Action Awards will be presented to up to four employees each month. These individuals will be nominated by their peers or managers as someone who embodies our values.

This month we saw an increase in participation, with many employees stepping up to recognize their colleagues. This means we have even more deserving winners to celebrate! As a reminder, group nominations (up to three people) are also allowed, making it possible to honor entire teams who embody our values together.

Recipients receive the Unite in Action Award trophy and a branded gift!

Congratulations to our winners… drumroll please…

Miguelinda Sanchez, Payroll Lead Specialist

Protos Off-Duty Services

Nominated by: Amy Dreese

Reason: Miguelinda is a testament to our values. She approaches every task with a deep sense of responsibility and takes full ownership from start to finish, ensuring outcomes meet the highest standards. Her commitment to continuous improvement is evident in her proactive approach – always asking thoughtful questions, seeking innovative solutions and looking for ways to enhance how we work. A dependable team player, she willingly collaborates across teams and is often the first to volunteer for new initiatives, always ready to support others. She also demonstrates unwavering integrity in all her actions, earning the trust and respect of her colleagues. Her contributions have a lasting positive impact on both our team culture and organizational goals. Miguelinda is a gem!

Morgan Boudreau, Manager of Vendor Enrollment

Protos Security

Nominated by: Glen Sider

Reason: Morgan exemplifies the values of Staying Curious, Taking Ownership and Building Relationships in every aspect of her role. As Manager of Vendor Enrollment, she leads the team responsible for welcoming all new vendors into the Protos network while ensuring their initial compliance with our insurance, licensing and contractual requirements. Morgan consistently takes ownership—not only of her assigned work but also of challenges brought to her from other departments. Her proactive mindset and deep personal investment have earned her a reputation as someone who steps up, solves problems and delivers results. She stays curious by identifying root causes, improving internal processes and encouraging her team and peers to think beyond the status quo. Transparent and honest in her communication, she readily admits when something is unknown—then follows through to find the answers. When the Enrollment team recently launched a large-scale new workflow, Morgan led the initiative: drafting new policies and procedures, training her team and coordinating across departments to ensure a seamless rollout. In doing so, she fostered alignment and accountability – while also strengthening our network of trusted vendor partners. Morgan has also demonstrated exceptional leadership under pressure, stepping in as acting supervisor during Richard Kuehhas’ National Guard deployment in both 2024, and again covering the Compliance team during his 2025 leave. During the most recent covering period, Morgan also volunteered to run onboarding webinars for a colleague (in a different department) who was on PTO; ensuring that no vendor was left waiting to get started with Protos. Committed to continuous growth, Morgan has also sought out a mentorship to further enhance her leadership and communication skills. Her dedication to building strong relationships across the organization—and with our vendors—helps lay the foundation for long-term success. She is a tremendous asset to Protos and a worthy nominee for the Unite in Action award.

Alex Lawton, Recruiter

Protos Security

Nominated by: Rachel Richey

Reason: We are honored to nominate Alex for the Unite in Action award. We were facing the task of filling a key role for our organization, and it was more than just a staffing need — it was about finding the right person to shape the future of our team and company culture. Alex not only understood the assignment — she took ownership of it! Every candidate she brought to the table was thoughtful, intentional and such a strong fit that choosing just one became the hardest part of our selection process.

What stood out even more than the quality of her work was the heart she put into it. She stayed curious, asked the right questions, maintained open communication and made us feel fully supported from start to finish. Alex consistently builds strong relationships and goes above and beyond for our team — not just in this instance, but every day. Her commitment, care and partnership mean the world to us — and we value her tremendously.

Daneisha Burney, Fulfillment Agent

Protos Security

Nominated by: Kirk Powell

Reason: Since the start of the New Vendor Launch Lunch program, Daneisha has won 19 times. Her enthusiastic engagement in this VRM project demonstrates our unity in the goal of supporting business partners while bolstering our network to enable better customer service. She has thoroughly taken ownership of her role in that project; and with each new launch, she has played a part in building our relationships with new vendors across the country.

Kendall Guffey, Senior Service Agent

Bruce Davis, Field Operations Account Manager

Kevin Tice, Field Operations Account Manager

Protos Security

Nominated by: Sean Cook

Reason: Kendall Guffey, Bruce Davis and Kevin Tice have been pivotal to the success of one of our newest and largest clients, Vistra. Their collaborative, hands-on, boots-on-the-ground approach has set a new standard for client engagement and service delivery. Working seamlessly as a united front, they have not only ensured operational excellence but have also created what can only be described as “raving fans” within Vistra’s leadership.

Bruce and Kevin joined Protos in February as Field Operations Account Managers dedicated to Vistra. Kevin, based in Dallas, and Bruce, based in Chicago, each oversee more than 10 strategic sites. Beyond their core responsibilities, they have stepped up to support field operations across a wide range of needs—including guard tours, post order development and rapid response to both client and vendor escalations.

Kendall, operating from Roanoke, VA, has served as the anchor of this team effort. His leadership in establishing consistent, productive meetings, implementing structured operational practices and delivering outstanding responsiveness has been central to the team’s success.

Together, Kendall, Bruce and Kevin have demonstrated unwavering commitment to Protos, our client, and the integrity of every site under their watch. The Creation of Protos Man

“Protos Man” was born during a themed “Superhero Day” at the Roanoke office’s Funky Fridays event earlier this year. Without a costume or superhero-themed attire, Joel Creel, Senior Service Agent, improvised by designing a comic book cover instead.

The fictional character, Protos Man, was visualized as a knight clad in green and blue armor, echoing the brand colors of Protos. His medieval aesthetic pays homage to a suit of armor that once stood in the Daleville office lobby, adding a meaningful historical touch.

To reinforce our brand’s mission, Joel’s design incorporated the Protos slogan “Security That Never Settles” and featured a line inspired by the Protos Promise, positioning Protos Man as a “champion of safety for communities and businesses.”

Dan Acker, Senior Director of Service, and Joel were interested in having the man drawed as an image using pencil and paper. Kayla Cutry, Senior Service Agent, used her artisitc abilities to hand draw the Protos Man as shown in the pictures to the right, bringing the image to life.

Though it began as a lighthearted way to participate in the office festivities, Joel was proud of the final product and keeps it pinned at his desk, giving Protos Man a more permanent role as a symbolic office superhero.

The story is a reminder that at Protos, our strength comes from working together and supporting one another’s creativity.
